Wicor Path
Street guide, Portchester
A footpath and cycle route running along the harbour shore in western Portchester. Wicor Path is not a road but a well-known and well-used local route that connects Portchester with Fareham Creek and the Cams Alders area. It is popular with walkers, joggers, cyclists and birdwatchers throughout the year. In winter, the mudflats alongside the path attract large numbers of Brent geese and wading birds, making it one of the best birdwatching spots in the borough. The path is surfaced for most of its length and is accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs in dry conditions. Views across the harbour to Gosport and the naval dockyard are a constant companion along the route.
