Chalford Grange

A modern residential development on the southern edge of Portchester, built in the late twentieth century on previously undeveloped land. Chalford Grange has a mix of detached houses and smaller properties, arranged around curving roads and small greens in the style typical of 1990s housing developments. The houses are generally well built and spacious, with integral garages and good-sized gardens. The development is close to the A27 but is reasonably well screened from road noise by landscaping and the layout of the buildings. It is within easy reach of the village centre on foot, and the schools and shops are a short walk away. The development has a self-contained character, forming a distinct pocket within the wider village.
