Cams Alders
Street guide, Portchester
The roads and paths around Cams Alders Recreation Ground on the western edge of Portchester. This area was developed for housing in the 1980s and 1990s on land that previously formed part of the Cams Hall estate, and the streets retain some of the mature tree planting from that era. The roads here are wide, curving and generally quiet, designed with families in mind. Housing is a mix of detached and semi-detached houses, many with garages and good-sized gardens. The recreation ground is the centrepiece of the area, providing sports pitches, a playground, a skate park and open grass. Residents have easy access to the harbour path via connecting footways.
